About Darrell Whitley
Darrell Whitley serves as President and CEO of RES as of May 2020. Darrell joined RES in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer.
Under Darrell’s operational leadership, RES expanded the scale of both its projects and its national footprint. Over the past two years, RES landed and began delivery on one of the largest ecological restoration projects in Texas while also expanding to the West Coast and taking on one of the most unique projects in the industry’s history in the Klamath River restoration. During that time, RES continued to grow across its core markets in the Chesapeake Bay, Appalachia, and the Midwest.
Before joining RES, Darrell was the former Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales and Market Development at Total Safety in Houston, TX. In these roles, he continued to enhance his leadership skills and led his teams into new markets and solutions. Darrell joined Total Safety as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales and Market Development. During his time at Total Safety, Darrell focused on improving processes to expand margin growth and support the sales and operations teams across many functions.
Darrell has also worked as a management consultant at Price Waterhouse (now PWC) and BSG and was the founding CEO of the Tennyson Group.
Darrell graduated from Rice University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Spanish and is actively engaged in the Houston community by serving on numerous Boards.
