The Louisiana Children’s Museum is relocating in 2019 to a larger site in City Park that includes a wetlands feature and a series of associated educational opportunities. To support the museum in its mission, RES donated more than 6,000 plants and provided labor and volunteer coordination for their planting in May of 2018.
The plants were provided by RES’ nearby nursery in Pointe Aux Chenes, Louisiana, and included more than 15 varieties of marsh grasses and bushes. RES’ donation included the plantings, several days of planting labor, and will be working with the museum staff over the next three years to properly maintain these features on the property.
