The holistic goal is to restore the Red Chute Mitigation Bank to its historical wetland characteristics, cumulatively reestablish, rehabilitate, and preserve 935.0 acres of bottomland hardwood wetland, and provide compensatory mitigation alternatives for impairments to wetlands associated with authorized (permitted) impacts within the approved bank service area. Additionally, the bank will help aid in the State’s goal of achieving no net loss of wetlands due to permitted activities.
