PROJECTS

The state of Colorado contains a diverse number of habitats, from arid Front Range grasslands to high elevation wetland meadows.
The state also has a growing population and extensive energy resources. This combination requires careful consideration of project siting and natural resource protection.
To help protect critical natural resources in Colorado, RES team members are developing mitigation and conservation banks in the state. These banks include riparian wetland mitigation banks on the Western Slope and species conservation banks for Preble’s meadow jumping mouse along the Front Range.
