RES is the nation’s leading provider of ecological solutions.
Anticipating wind energy development, RES expanded into the Midwest. Since arriving, we delivered the first habitat offset for the Indiana bat and Northern Long-eared bat. The 253-acre turnkey bat conservation project located in Vermillion County, IN was selected based on its ability to provide high-quality bat habitat to satisfy mitigation needs associated with wind project development.
Since then, RES has multiple projects in process with several wind companies in the region to supply bat habitat in areas that are deemed conservation priority areas by local USFWS offices. To date, RES has built an inventory of over 3,350 acres in both Indiana and Illinois, representing targeted lands within known areas of species presence and that exhibit site features critical to bat survival.
We work directly with clients to provide high-quality, client-centric solutions. In total, RES has reduced over 1,049,846 pounds of nutrients; restored over 686 miles of stream, 77,736 acres of wetlands, and 20,400 acres of endangered species habitats; and planted over 28 million restorative trees.
