Neil Guthals is a seasoned environmental leader with over 22 years of expertise in ecological consulting and project management. Recently promoted to State Manager for Kentucky at RES, Neil has built a reputation for delivering high-value solutions across the environmental sector. His strategic problem-solving and ability to lead complex projects from conception to completion have earned him a key leadership role within RES.
Neil’s expertise spans a broad array of environmental services, including:
- Wetland and stream mitigation, including leading the development of three wetland mitigation banks and numerous site-specific restoration projects
- Comprehensive wetland delineation, quality assessment, and ecological evaluations
- Regulatory compliance, permitting, and financial analysis for large-scale environmental projects
- Technical and financial leadership, guiding teams through project scoping, financial forecasting, and project execution
- Strategic planning for complex environmental assessments and mitigation projects
Neil holds a B.A. in Biology from DePauw University, an M.S. in Environmental Science from Indiana University, and an MBA from the University of Louisville. Additionally, he is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS).
