Roger Wiederkehr
President and Chief Executive OfficerRoger Wiederkehr is the President and Chief Executive Officer of RES, having led the company since being named Interim CEO in October 2022. His executive leadership experience encompasses several executive roles, including serving as president and CEO of engineering and scientific services provider Wyle, president of KBR’s U.S. government services segment, and executive vice president and COO of AECOM’s engineering consulting and environmental services business in the Americas.
Roger holds a law degree from the University of Zürich and an MBA from Yale School of Management.

Ben Eubanks
Vice President & Regional General Manager, EastHe has extensive experience in the development and management of the annual operating plan by aggregating project forecasts, Capex, SG&A, and workforce inputs from functional leaders. Ben joined RES in 2018 as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in the Mid-Atlantic region and was later promoted to Senior Manager. He oversaw forecasting, budgeting, project financials, and opportunity evaluations for multiple complex stream and wetland mitigation banks, conservation banks, retail nutrient banks (Virginia-specific), and customized TMDL solution projects.
Before joining RES, he worked with Winebow, fine wine and spirits importer and distributor, for seven years in brand management, operations, finance, and strategy roles. During that time, the company achieved a national footprint and grew 10x in annual revenue through organic sales and acquisitions.
Ben has a BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from The Robins School at The University of Richmond.

David Hill
Vice President & Regional General Manager, CentralDavid leads the RES Gulf Coast and Midwest teams as Region General Manager. David’s team works ecological solutions for wetland, stream, habitat and nutrient reduction restoration projects.
David became General Manager, then Regional General Manager, after leading RES’ nationwide Land team. Prior to those promotions, David was a successful RES land representative having directly acquired or managed the purchase of over 6,500 acres and 50+ miles of stream linear footage in Louisiana, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
He joined RES after serving as a summer intern focused on RES Field Operations while attending the Louisiana State University. David, a Baton Rouge native, graduated from LSU in 2009 with a BS in Agricultural Economics. David is a licensed Louisiana real estate agent and active member of Ducks Unlimited.

Frankie Savoy
Vice President, Major ProjectsIn 2024, Frankie Savoy was named Vice President, Major Projects, responsible for working with clients and RES delivery teams nationwide to develop solutions involving very large-scale, complex ecological projects. Previously, Frankie led client engagement teams and solution development activities as Vice President of Sales at RES. He excels at developing ecologically and commercially effective solutions for clients based upon a comprehensive understanding of the myriad factors underpinning each client’s unique challenges and desired outcomes.
Frankie joined RES in 2010 after a successful career in upscale steakhouse management with Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group and holds a BA in Political Science from Louisiana State University.

Jeremy Sochol
Vice President, Human ResourcesWith a career spanning three decades and diverse sectors, Jeremy’s commitment to creating a cohesive culture, promoting diversity and inclusion, and optimizing HR processes reflect his unwavering dedication to aligning HR strategies with the core objectives of the organizations he has served.
Jeremy most recently held the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Charah Solutions, a mission-critical environmental remediation and sustainability company within the power industry. While there, he played a pivotal role in enhancing management capability and performance, as demonstrated by year-over-year improvement in employee engagement and retention.
As the Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at RS&H, an ENR Top 75 employee-owned architecture, engineering, and consulting firm, he optimized the HR functions, improved speed and quality of talent acquisition, and crafted a new vision for talent development.
Earlier in his career, Jeremy invested several years contributing to Waste Management’s success while serving as the VP of Corporate HR and Learning.
With his expertise in talent management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and organizational change, Jeremy has left an indelible mark on the organizations he has served.

John Turner
Vice President, Sales and MarketingJohn Turner serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at RES. He brings 15 years of experience leading global and national sales and marketing teams across the energy, industrial, and water infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining RES, John served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AssetGuard Products. With 12 years on executive teams in public, private, and high-growth organizations, he has a record of developing go-to-market strategies for new markets and commercializing innovative products and services.
John holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Houston and an MBA from Washington State University.

Lorne Phillips
Chief Financial OfficerLorne Phillips serves as Chief Financial Officer at RES. Prior to joining the company, Lorne worked as CFO for Pioneer Energy Services for over 12 years. He also worked for 9 years with Cameron International Corporation in various roles, including as Treasurer and as General Manager for the Canadian valve division. Prior to his time at Cameron, Lorne worked in private equity for SCF Partners and in investment banking for Simmons & Company International.
Lorne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Russell Bzoza
Vice President, Supply Chain & Shared ServicesRussell Bzoza joined RES as the Director of Supply Chain in 2018 and leads the Corporate and Operational support functions, including Procurement, EHS&S, and IT & Systems. In 2020, he was promoted to Vice President, Supply Chain and Shared Services.
Russell has over 20 years of experience within supply chain. Before joining RES, he worked with Total Safety in Houston, Texas, and United Parcel Service throughout Ohio and Michigan, where he held roles in operations, project management, business analysis, sales, and supply chain solutions. Russell earned an M.B.A. in 2009, from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio.

Sam Burley
General CounselSam Burley serves as General Counsel at RES. Prior to joining RES, Sam worked for PwC in its New York office and for Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in its New York and London offices. At PwC and Davis Polk, Sam advised clients on regulatory and corporate matters. Prior to law school, Sam spent five years as a professional track and field athlete sponsored by ASICS, and is a member of the American record-holding 4×800 meter relay team. Sam graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Environmental Studies and a Master of Environmental Studies with a focus on conservation and land management. Sam is also a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.

Tim DeGraff
Vice President & Regional General Manager, WestTim DeGraff serves as Regional General Manager for the Western states for RES. Tim is a certified professional wetland scientist with experience in wetland habitats throughout the United States with extensive experience in California. Before joining RES, Tim was CEO of WRA, Inc., a California-based professional consulting services firm focusing on plant, wildlife, and wetland ecology and regulatory compliance.
Tim has conducted over one hundred wetland delineations and has taught the wetland delineation certification class through San Francisco State University for ten years. His specialty is complicated projects involving large wetland impacts, endangered species consultation, complex mitigation requirements, and interagency negotiation. Tim was also the lead scientist and led the effort to entitle the largest wetland mitigation bank in California, the first stream mitigation bank in California, and several innovative conservation banks, including the first amphibian conservation bank involving translocation.

Caleb King
General Manager, HoustonCaleb is the General Manager, Houston working out of the Creekmont, Texas office. He has worked in the heavy civil construction industry since graduating from Texas State University in 2006 with a BST in Engineering Technology focusing on Construction Management. Caleb started his career at LECON, Inc., where he spent the next 15 years undertaking multiple roles, including Cost Engineer, Safety Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Project Manager. He spent another year managing heavy civil construction projects as a Senior PM after joining the RES team in 2021. In 2022 he served as Operations Manager and maintained a highly focused project management team dedicated to executing complex construction projects on time and within budget. He has worked closely with various clients, including the Harris County Flood Control District, the San Jacinto River Authority, the Fort Bend Drainage District, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Chris Smith, PE
General Manager, SoutheastChris is the General Manager for the Southeast Region, which includes offices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in eight states in the Southeastern United States (AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN). He has extensive experience in private consulting engineering with a focus on site/civil engineering. He has led engineering and land surveying teams over the past 30+ years with progressively increasing responsibilities culminating in his last role as a regional manager over four states involving 240 staff. Chris has a passion for driving operational excellence across multiple organizations within a company and collaborating with different geography leaders.
Chris has a Bachelors of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. He lives in Lexington, South Carolina, with his wife Roberta of 30+ years, and their 2 grown children live in the nearby Columbia, South Carolina, area.

Frank Cuccio
General Manager, Gulf CoastFrank is the General Manager, Gulf Coast working out of the Lafayette, Louisiana office. He joined RES in May 2016 to provide leadership for Gulf Coast Operations. Previously, Frank spent six years with CB&I ‘s Natural Resource Division where he was responsible for overseeing the design and construction of projects within the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) program. He managed project financials, schedules, and invoicing while maintaining and cultivating strong client relationships. He has over six years of wetland permitting related experience, geared towards federal and state environmental regulations, policies, and procedures, and was part of a biological team that identified and mapped critical habitat of endangered species along the gulf coast. Before CB&I, Frank was field manager for an 800-acre freshwater habitat land bank. Frank holds a BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from McNeese State University.

Justin Freedman
General Manager, FloridaJustin serves as the General Manager for RES’ Florida region, bringing extensive experience in environmental services to both public and private clients. His expertise covers urban forestry, environmental permitting, and transportation-related services. With a track record of managing complex projects, Justin previously oversaw RES’ offices in Dania Beach, Clearwater, and Miami.
Specializing in municipal consulting, Justin offers services like plan reviews, environmental assessments, permitting, and more to municipalities across Florida. He’s also a key player in advancing urban forestry efforts, serving on the Florida Urban Forestry Council’s Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for the Florida Chapter of the ISA. Furthermore, Justin has a strong background in transportation services, having provided consulting support to the FDOT for over a decade.
Justin earned his MS in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center and his BS in Biology from Tufts University.

Kevin Smith
General Manager, WestKevin is a highly accomplished multi-disciplinary professional known for his candid demeanor and strong sense of accountability, which help keep teams and projects on track while ensuring client and agency satisfaction. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University and possesses key strengths in project management, LEAN construction, civil and structural engineering design, stormwater and watershed management, environmental law, and permitting and right-of-way acquisitions.
With over 30 years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, and construction, Kevin has a passion for outstanding design and execution, allowing him to successfully tackle highly complex and challenging projects. His work has been published in Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, Luxe, and other trade publications.
Kevin has managed a diverse range of notable eco-restoration projects, including:
- Lookout Slough Tidal Habitat Restoration and Mitigation (California’s largest tidal wetland mitigation)
- Roy’s Redwoods Park Restoration (Golden Gate National Parks/Marin County)
- Yosemite Ackerson Meadows Restoration (National Park Service/American Rivers)
- Cold Stream/Truckee River Restoration and Reclamation (Truckee River Watershed Council)
- Piedras Blancas Vernal Coastal Wetlands Mitigation (Caltrans)
His collaborative approach to leading teams on technically challenging projects spans various disciplines, including ecosystem restoration, wetlands construction, mine tailings reclamation, airport runway and highway construction, vertical construction (which includes commercial buildings and high-end custom residences) in states like Colorado and California, as well as in the Pacific Northwest (including Washington and Oregon) and the Pacific Islands (notably Maui and New Zealand).
In his personal time, Kevin enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snow skiing, golfing, and traveling around the western U.S. and the Tahoe region with his spouse, Kimberly, and their Maui rescue mutt, Ollie (Shaka).

Lucas Lilly
General Manager, MidwestLucas is the General Manager, Midwest working out of the Chicago, Illinois office. He joined RES in 2017 as a Land Representative for the Midwest Region. Lucas is a native of Altamont, Illinois, and attended the University of Illinois earning a BS in Recreation Management while completing an Environmental Fellowship. Lucas also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from Portland State University and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans. Lucas has over nine years of land acquisition experience having successfully acquired right-of-way and land rights for public infrastructure projects throughout southeast Louisiana with construction values totaling more than $450 million. His experience includes ArcGIS analysis, site selection, feasibility, due diligence, community outreach, regulatory permitting, title research, property acquisition, negotiation, curative title, and utility coordination.

Michael Sachs
General Manager, NortheastMike Sachs serves as General Manager of RES’ Northeast Region. Mike has helped the region grow into a diverse business delivering some of the region’s most significant ecological restoration projects, such as compensatory mitigation and pollutant reduction, using various delivery methods.
Mike enjoys working every day with an excellent regional team consisting of dedicated, well-rounded professionals under the direction of recognized subject matter experts. Mike says the best part of working at RES is spending time in the field at RES’ job sites and working in the fun environment of our Pittsburgh office. Mike takes pride in delivering innovative ecological restoration projects with RES’s fast-paced but relaxed approach. Outside of work, Mike enjoys fly fishing and boating.

Rick Atkinson
General Manager, Mid-AtlanticIn 2023, Rick was named General Manager of RES’ Mid-Atlantic Region.
Rick brings 20 years of experience to the position, including serving the last nine years with RES. Most recently, he served as the State Business Manager of VA and was responsible for project delivery and building a pipeline of short and long-term opportunities in the state. From 2014 – 2022, he served as the Regulatory Team Manager and Senior Project Manager with RES, managing PRM projects, developing 404 mitigation banks, and leading regulatory and GIS teams. Additionally, Rick worked with WEG/Stantec from 2003 – 2014 as a Regulatory Specialist and then a Senior Regulatory Specialist.
In addition to his regulatory and project management experience, Rick has a strong sales acumen to complement his operations expertise.
Rick attended Randolph-Macon College, where he earned his B.A. in Environmental Science.
