Erin Delawalla joined RES in 2019 as a Client Solutions Manager in the Midwest to develop innovative and cost-effective ecological solutions for clients. She brings extensive project management experience in the sustainable management and permitting of natural resources, including wetlands and streams, threatened and endangered species, and sensitive landscapes. Before joining RES, she worked for one of the largest renewable energy developers in the US, managing natural resources for over a gigawatt of utility-scale wind and solar projects in 18 states, including regular engagement with the USFWS, BLM, state wildlife agencies, and environmental NGOs. Her previous experience includes practicing environmental law for four years at an AmLaw 100 firm, helping clients with regulatory compliance under the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Air Act, as well as conducting environmental due diligence in transactional matters. Erin was a founding member of the sustainability programs at both Invenergy and Schiff Hardin.

Erin is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and has a BS in Finance from Saint Louis University.

Kate is a Client Solutions Manager focused on the Midwest region. She has proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, partner coordination, project development, planning, and technical document composition. She develops conservation plans, prescribed burn plans, contract development and execution, project oversight, safety coordination, community engagement, and volunteer management.

Prior to joining RES, Kate worked with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in Indiana where she coordinated with landowners and partners to manage biodiverse nature preserves in northwest Indiana. Throughout her career, Kate has engaged with partners in the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and Indiana Department of Environmental Management to restore globally imperiled dune and swale communities in a larger effort to remove fish and wildlife habitat impairments in the Grand Calumet River Area of Concern. She regularly networks with diverse groups, including community members, volunteers, and various stakeholders, to align conservation goals and priorities over a wide geographic area.

Kate earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Biology from the University of Illinois-Champaign. She is a certified National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Firefighter Type 1, NWCG Incident Command 5 Trainee, NWCG Basic Faller Trainee, and Pesticide Applicator in Illinois and Indiana.

Nick is a Client Solutions Manager focused on the Midwest region. He has 18 years of experience in landscape construction, ecosystem restoration, and design project management. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary teams, managed direct reports, and supervised field crews on a wide variety of projects ranging from small contracts to those at the multimillion-dollar level.

During his time at RES, he cultivated strong relationships with industry professionals and trade contractors, which has led to various partnerships and contract opportunities. He has shared his expertise as a speaker and industry expert at events hosted by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA), conducting seminars on topics such as SWPPP, erosion control, and the integration of native and sustainable landscapes.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Nick is LEED AP BD+C certified by the USGBC; he is also registered landscape architect through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.

Amy is a civil/environmental engineer based in Missouri. She has 20 years of experience supporting natural resources for the public sector. Before joining RES, she held key roles for the USDA Forest Service, the US Army, and the Missouri Water Resources Center.

Amy has unique and diverse capabilities. She prides herself on her collaborative, empathetic, and client-service-driven approach to problem solving and strives to bridge the gap between engineering and nature.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), a Federal Contracting Officer Representative 3 (COR3), and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP). During her career, she has received many awards, including the U.S. Army’s Achievement Medal for Civilian Service and multiple awards for safety, performance, and achievement with the Forest Service. Her most recent accomplishment was beating stage 2b breast cancer, which compelled her to align her career with her passion for nature-based solutions.

Jack is a Client Solutions Manager based in the Midwest, specializing in 404 permittee-responsible mitigation projects and credit banking.

With more than a decade of experience, Jack has a proven track record of connecting clients with the right partners to develop strategic, relationship-driven solutions. Before joining RES, he worked with utility companies and contractors to manage ROW and site access for large-scale transmission, distribution, and other infrastructure construction projects.

Jack holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance from Augsburg University.

After earning an MS in Ecological Economics from the University of Edinburgh, Maggie joined RES as a Market Analyst in our Chicago office. In this role, she plays a vital part in shaping the future of nature-based solutions across the Midwest, analyzing market demand for wetland, stream, and species mitigation, as well as flood resiliency and corporate water stewardship initiatives. With a keen eye for emerging opportunities, she also facilitates credit sales from RES’s wetland and stream banks in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa, ensuring sustainable solutions align with regional environmental and regulatory needs.

Chuck is a seasoned Project Estimator and Restoration Ecologist with experience in ecological restoration and project management. He has provided cost estimates and bids for a wide range of projects, from large-scale remediation efforts to small residential projects.

As a Project Estimator, Chuck manages proposals, tracks budgets, procures materials, and provides contract administration for RES projects nationwide. His previous role as a project manager allowed him to lead field crews and oversee contracts for restoration and stormwater infrastructure projects, further honing his expertise in the field.

With more than 20 years of experience in restoration ecology, Chuck is also a Certified Arborist, bringing specialized knowledge in mitigation banking, wetlands, streambanks, and conservation developments. His expertise in vegetation monitoring, erosion control, and invasive species management enables him to drive sustainable, high-impact restoration solutions, ensuring long-term ecological resilience and project success.

Lucas is the General Manager, Midwest working out of the Chicago, Illinois office. He joined RES in 2017 as a Land Representative for the Midwest Region. Lucas is a native of Altamont, Illinois, and attended the University of Illinois earning a BS in Recreation Management while completing an Environmental Fellowship. Lucas also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from Portland State University and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans. Lucas has over nine years of land acquisition experience having successfully acquired right-of-way and land rights for public infrastructure projects throughout southeast Louisiana with construction values totaling more than $450 million. His experience includes ArcGIS analysis, site selection, feasibility, due diligence, community outreach, regulatory permitting, title research, property acquisition, negotiation, curative title, and utility coordination.
