Washington State is defined by water.

Whether flowing west off the Cascade Crest to the iconic Puget Sound, south to the mighty Columbia River, or east to the agricultural backbone of the state, this shared resource flows through growing communities and valuable ecosystems. With nearly a million acres of wetland, more than 70 thousand miles of streams and rivers, and more than 30 thousand miles of coastline, RES feels right at home, getting to work for the people and resources of Washington. Our mission, to restore a resilient earth for a modern world, has found verdant soil to take root in the state where communities have long balanced the needs of fish and wildlife, agriculture, growing cities, renewable energy, and thriving industries.

Washington State is served by the RES West Coast team of biologists, regulatory specialists, engineers, GIS analysts, and land conservation specialists who have extensive experience across the West with all aspects of mitigation banking, species habitat preservation, and large-scale ecosystem restoration. RES is proud to bring our decades of expertise in fisheries, wetland delineation, and regulatory compliance to bear to be of service in Washington. Moreover, RES stands apart in the field by drawing on deep learning from years of collaboration with private, state, federal, and Tribal partners across the West. We have conducted massive restoration efforts from Bois d’Arc, Texas, to the Klamath River in California and Oregon, and we are ready to meet the call of the people of Washington State as they move towards unprecedented action to save the salmon of the Snake River and preserve an irreplaceable agricultural region.
