Kate is a Client Solutions Manager focused on the Midwest region. She has proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, partner coordination, project development, planning, and technical document composition. She develops conservation plans, prescribed burn plans, contract development and execution, project oversight, safety coordination, community engagement, and volunteer management.

Prior to joining RES, Kate worked with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in Indiana where she coordinated with landowners and partners to manage biodiverse nature preserves in northwest Indiana. Throughout her career, Kate has engaged with partners in the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and Indiana Department of Environmental Management to restore globally imperiled dune and swale communities in a larger effort to remove fish and wildlife habitat impairments in the Grand Calumet River Area of Concern. She regularly networks with diverse groups, including community members, volunteers, and various stakeholders, to align conservation goals and priorities over a wide geographic area.

Kate earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Biology from the University of Illinois-Champaign. She is a certified National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Firefighter Type 1, NWCG Incident Command 5 Trainee, NWCG Basic Faller Trainee, and Pesticide Applicator in Illinois and Indiana.
