Sustainability is the core of our vision and mission

At RES, our vision is to restore a resilient Earth for a modern world. Our mission includes supporting the rehabilitation and stewardship of nature’s resources alongside responsible human progress.

We exist as a company to focus on the planet’s sustainability, based on the projects we deliver for clients. Our Ecometrics track our annual and all-time ecological uplift as we restore the nation’s land and waters, project by project.

We also focus on sustainability in our own culture and operations, with decarbonization as a major priority. In 2023, we began formally benchmarking our carbon emissions, initially targeting Scope 1 (direct emissions) and Scope 2 (indirect electricity emissions). We’ve implemented programs to reduce our carbon footprint, and we’ll be reporting on our progress in our 2024 Sustainability Report. Our efforts include reducing miles driven and fuel consumed.

RES also has goals related to enterprise conduct, community support, and safety—all part of our commitment to sustainability.
