Located northwest of Cecil in Cook County, Georgia, the Cecil Bay Mitigation Bank focuses on restoring Cecil Bay and Heart Pine Pond, historic wetland areas whose hydrology was modified for agricultural use. The project aims to reestablish natural hydrology and native vegetation, ultimately returning the site to its pre-disturbance ecological condition.
