The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) contracted RES to provide beach and dune vegetation planting services in support of CPRA Coastal Master Plan Project BA-0210. RES’ coastal restoration team custom grew, transported, and installed 63,000 four-inch containers of bitter panicum in addition to 2,750 one-gallon sea oat containers. This was the second major restoration project our team had conducted on Grand Isle within a 15-month period.

The project, which was completed in 2021, was located on Grand Isle in Jefferson Parish with the western extent of the work site located near the existing jetty at Caminada Pass and the eastern extent approximately two miles to the east.
