The USRMB Phase 1 Mitigation Bank was established to restore and preserve a self-sustaining, functional stream and wetland system. The project provides in-kind compensatory mitigation for unavoidable impacts while advancing watershed-scale ecological integrity.

Restoration activities utilized a natural channel design approach to rehabilitate degraded stream reaches, reestablish floodplain connectivity, and improve wetland hydrology. A comprehensive native planting plan was implemented to stabilize channels, enhance riparian structure, and increase overall ecological uplift across the site.

The project supports sustainable development by offsetting permitted impacts and protecting critical aquatic resources within the service area. Restoration measures were designed to deliver durable, functional lift while maintaining regulatory compliance.

RES has monitored and maintained the site for the past 10 years. Long-term data confirm sustained stream stability, wetland function, and vegetative establishment, demonstrating a mature and resilient restoration system that continues to provide mitigation value.
