Desmond has over 25 years of experience in the mitigation banking industry. As Client Solutions Manager in Florida, he cultivates trusted advisor relationships with clients to deliver comprehensive ecological solutions.

Desmond’s experience has been in the southeastern region of the USA, working with wetland, conservation, and stream mitigation banking. Desmond has also been part of developing, implementing, and marketing some of the nation’s premier mitigation banks throughout the SE US, predominantly in Florida. Two of these are firsts in our industry: Pembroke Pines Mitigation Bank, which transferred the first federal credit, and the Panther Island Mitigation Bank, designated a Wetland of International Importance by Ramsar. He has worked on mitigation projects providing over 17,000 acres of wetland and endangered species habitat.

Desmond was born and raised in South Africa. Upon completing high school, he joined the military and served as a non-commissioned officer in the cavalry division. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Public Administration from Stellenbosch University.

Before traveling abroad, he worked as a game ranger in Zululand, South Africa. He resides in Boca Raton with his wife and children.

Kale serves as RES’ North Florida Land Specialist. He has an extensive background in land acquisition, disposition, assemblage, conservation easements, and agriculture.

Before joining RES in early 2023, Kale served as the US Director of Agribusiness with CBRE. While there, he brokered institutional agricultural investments stateside and globally. Kale’s responsibilities include discovering and identifying new mitigation bank projects, and land tracts and working alongside landowners and the brokerage community to solidify land values and ownership legacy and preserve natural Florida.

Kale earned his Bachelor’s in Real Estate & Finance from Florida State University.

With over 30 years of experience, Nadia is a seasoned environmental and engineering consulting professional. Her expertise spans many areas, including PD&E studies, environmental audits, site assessment and remediation, stormwater design, environmental permitting, and more. She has provided litigation support to organizations like the FDOT and Miami-Dade Aviation Department.

Currently, she serves on the boards of Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk, Smart Growth Partnership, Florida Brownfields Association, and the FBA Environmental Justice Foundation. She has held leadership roles in these organizations and played vital roles in Brownfields projects since their inception.

Nadia’s extensive experience in South Florida transportation and stormwater management projects makes her a valuable asset. She understands environmental and permitting challenges and has managed various projects, including design-bid-build and design-build initiatives.

Her contributions to stormwater master planning and NPDES permit compliance projects for FDOT and local governments have been significant. Nadia is a respected figure in the field, known for her dedication and expertise in engineering and environmental consulting.
