Leadership Team > Don Seaborn
About Don Seaborn
In 2023, Don was named Chief Growth Officer. Previously he served as Chief Strategy Officer, and VP and Regional General Manager for the Eastern Region.
Don is a founding partner of Angler Environmental (Angler), which was acquired by RES in 2016. In the last 17 years, Don led Angler to become a recognized leader in aquatic resources consulting and ecological restoration in the Atlantic Region. Don is principally responsible for overseeing wetland and regulatory solutions, including wetland and stream mitigation in the Atlantic Region. He has over 22 years of extensive academic training and professional experience in all aspects of aquatic resource science and regulation. In the last 17 years, Don led Angler to develop 11 approved stream and wetland mitigation banks and over 60 project-specific mitigation sites, representing over 400 acres of wetland mitigation and more than fifteen (15) miles of stream and riparian corridor restored or constructed. He was a leader in Virginia’s development of stream assessment methods, in-stream restoration monitoring protocols, and stream mitigation banking.
Don holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University, a JD in Environmental Law from the University of Maryland School of Law, and an MS in Oceanography/Aquatic Chemistry from Old Dominion University.
